Swiss Fondue Wisconsin Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups dry white wine
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pound Wisconsin Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 1 pound Wisconsin Fontina cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot
  • 2 ounces kirsch
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • French bread cubes
  • Pears, cut in wedges
  • Apples, cut in wedges


Directions:

Bring wine and lemon juice to a boil in fondue pot, Reduce heat to low. Toss cheeses with arrowroot. Gradually add to wine mixture, stirring constantly.

When cheese is completely melted, stir in kirsch. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve with French bread cubes, pears and apples.
